Georgian Bay's protected waters surrounding Honey Harbour are home to some of Ontario's most sought-after freshwater sport fish. With 30,000 islands, rocky shoals, and crystal-clear water, Georgian Bay offers diverse fishing habitat that attracts anglers from across Canada and beyond.

Fish right from the dock at Hall's Cottages, wade the rocky shoreline at sunrise, or rent one of our 16-foot Lund fishing boats for a full day exploring the bay. Our guests consistently report catching fish throughout the season — from the first Walleye of May to the late-season Muskie runs in October.

Fishing Boat Rentals at Hall's Cottages

Our 16-foot Lund fishing boats are fully equipped and ready to take you wherever the fish are biting on Georgian Bay. Each boat is powered by a dependable Suzuki 4-stroke 15HP motor — quiet enough not to spook fish and fuel-efficient for a full day on the water.

Ontario Fishing Licence Requirements

All anglers 18 and older in Ontario require a valid Ontario Outdoors Card and a Fishing Licence. Licences are available online at ontario.ca/fishing or at local bait shops in Honey Harbour.

Ontario Residents

Resident sport fishing licences are available to Ontario residents. An Outdoors Card is required as your licence carrier. Reduced fees apply for seniors and youth under 18 (who fish free with a licensed adult).

Non-Residents & Visitors

Non-resident licences are available to Canadian citizens outside Ontario, and to international visitors. Short-term (1-day, 3-day, or 8-day) licences are ideal for guests joining for part of the week.

Note: Catch limits apply for all species. Hall's Cottages guests are responsible for knowing and following Ontario fishing regulations.
