One of Canada's most distinctive national parks, Georgian Bay Islands National Park encompasses 63 islands spread across 55 square kilometres of the eastern Georgian Bay shoreline. The park's largest island, Beausoleil Island, is just a short boat ride from Honey Harbour and offers excellent hiking trails, sandy beaches, historic Indigenous rock paintings, and exceptional wildlife viewing.
The park ferry departs from the Honey Harbour dock — just a 5-minute drive from Hall's Cottages — and operates daily during the summer season. Alternatively, guests with access to a boat can cross independently. Camping, day hiking, and kayaking in the park are all popular with Hall's Cottages guests.

A charming bilingual town on the shore of Penetang Bay, Penetanguishene is known for its French-Canadian heritage, waterfront dining, and Discovery Harbour military and marine museum. An easy afternoon drive from the cottage.
